Network Operators and Service Providers should isolate the source to contain the attack if a DHCP ((Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) attack is underway. Plan to force all DHCP clients to renew leases in a controlled fashion at planned increments. Re-evaluate architecture to mitigate similar future incidents.
